Beccles Carnival Weekend - 20th August 2011
Beccles Carnival weekend is more than a traditional carnival parade.This years event takes place on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st August 2011. Over the Weekend we have lined up a great programme of events for the whole family to enjoy. Saturday sees teddy bears parade with judging of the best dressed teddy,entertainment from KYSLR with prize giveways, fun and Games. With a fancy dress for children, displays and stalls, Sunday sees the Grand traditional Carnival procession through the Beccles Market town followed by Stocks Fun fair,Static exhibits of vintage, classic cars and steam and stationary engines displays and competitions and entertainment for all the family.Check out www.becclescarnival.co.uk or follow us on facebook for all up to date information

The Suabru Houghton International Horse Trials offers all the excitment of eventing in superb surroundings. This years event takes place between Thursday 26th and Sunday 29th May 2011. Get close to some of the greatest riders and most magnificent horses in the sport. The cross country challenge offers you thrills and spills, strength and determination, whilst the dressage exhibits elegance, harmony, discipline and partnership. The final stage, show jumping is a test of precision, agility and control of both the horse and rider. 2011 sees Macmillan Cancer Support reach our 100th year of improving the lives of people living with cancer. In recognition of this amazing milestone, we’re calling for 100 Norfolk businesses to raise £1,000 each in our centenary year. Companies of all shapes and sizes are welcome to join us in this landmark challenge, and we’ll be here every step of the way with advice, support and fundraising ideas. Not only is this a great cause, but it’s also a good way for local businesses to engage the community, build their teamwork skills, get some good publicity and of course have plenty of fun!
